Adult Self-Defense

Many adult students train in Martial Arts for different reasons whether it be for self-defense, fitness, weight loss, or stress-relief.

Our classes are designed to accomodate any level of training. Our "go at your own pace" training program lets the student gradually build stamina and endurance while moving through our belt ranking system. Our goal is to produce a well rounded student both physically and mentally.

Classes are offered for teens and adults for both men and women.

Class Schedule:

  • Monday and Wednesday 7:15pm to 8:15pm.
  • Tuesday and Thursday 6:30 to 7:30pm
  • Saturday 11:30am to 12:30pm

Adult students at Master Academy will be exposed and will be taught a variety of self-defense material including:

  • The proper ways to punch, kick, and block
  • How to fall correctly to avoid injury
  • Defense against straight and round-house punches
  • How to defend against various types of kicks
  • Defense against clubs and knives
  • Force an attacker to release a variety of grabs
  • Handling multi-attacker situations
  • Handling gun and knife hold-ups
  • Mentally trained to physically react to a surprise situation without thinking
  • How to control an attacker without relying strictly on strength.
